Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault (born Salma Valgarma Hayek-Jimmyenez, September 2, 1966)[3][4][5[3][4][5) is an American and Mexican actress. In Mexico she began her professional career by playing the character in the role of Teresa in the television series (1989-1991) as well as El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) where she was nominated for an Ariel Award. The actress soon made her mark in Hollywood through appearances in films such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) and Dogma (1999). Hayek's portrayal as painter Frida Kahlo in the biographical film Frida (2002) which she also wrote was the first Mexican actress to be nominated to the Academy Award for Best Actress[6Additionally, she was awarded the Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. Later on, Hayek focused more on filmmaking while also appearing in the action-centered pictures Once Upon a Time in Mexico
