The Joint Leadership of the United States Congress (Congressional Award Board of Directors) awards the Horizon Award a special recognition. The Horizon Award is given to individuals in the private sector who have helped to expand opportunities for everyone Americans. It also recognizes people who have set exemplary standards for the next generation of young people with their achievements in life. Tom was a wonderful player, and was grateful to be included with such a talented and experienced group. He was able to practice and playing hard whenever his Magnum schedule would allow. .... Tom was very patient with us all and we loved the huge crowds which replaced the tiny number of players' spouses and their friends at national tourney matches. ".
