Bellamy Young

Young began her professional career as an actress in the theater. In 1997 she made her Broadway debut in the role of Mary in the initial The Life cast. The Life. The show was performed Off Broadway in Stephen Sondheim's musical Merrily We roll along (1994) as well as Randy Newman's Faust, (1995-1996). The actress made her debut on the TV screen in 1995 as Dr. Courtney Evans. She appeared in Law & Order as a guest star in two roles in 1997 as well as in 1998. In 1999, she made her movie debut with a minor part on the crime drama Black and White and later co-starred in several independent films. Then, in the late 2000s she began to be an actor on variety of TV dramas and comedy programs, including The Drew Carey Show and The X Files. Between 2000 until the year 2011, Young played in more than 30 television programs. As of 2003, Young got a role as one of the regulars on the USA Network show Peacemakers. After nine episodes, the show stopped after a single episode. Her character was featured on the Lifetime show For the People, a show that focuses on the law. Atty. Agnes Hunt on NBC drama American Dreams in 2003 as Diane Shaw, Dr. Grace Miller on NBC Scrubs in 2004 as Monica West, Assistant State Attorney Monica West in CBS CSI: Miami in 2005 through 2006 as well as Ellen Darling on ABC soap Dirty Sexy Money in 2008-2009 as the eldest son-in-law in the Darling Family.
