Kellie was one the best "American Idols" Even though she didn't win. Kellie Pickler was born June 28, 1986, in Stanly Memorial Hospital Albemarle. Her parents are Cynthia Morton and Clyde Raymond Pickler. As she got pregnant her mother was already 16 years old. Pickler was a troubled child because of her drug and alcohol abuse, as her mother abandoned her at the age of two. Morton returned to take her control for a few years. However, Pickler said that it was not all well. "I was cooking with my mom when I said to her: 'I would rather die than be in this place.' She pulled out a kitchen knife and put it in the middle of the counter. And she then told her: "Here you go." It was fourth grade. It's unfortunate that I did not take action on it. The incident left an emotional mark that will last forever. Pickler aged at the age of 12 was handed her grandparents' custody following the hearing. Pickler is adamant about her grandparents as major influence throughout her whole life was a child of the grandparents. Her grandmother Faye Pickler died from lung cancer in the month of January, 2002. her children were in the care of her grandfather. Pickler received her diploma from the North Stanly High School located which is located in New London, North Carolina.
